BELLOW
The heart of bellow sealed globe valves is metal bellow. It is pressure, temperature and torsion resistant. It comes with single and multi layered SS316 Ti material. Because of its shape bellow compresses as the valve gets closed and expands as the valve gets open.
BODY SEAT RINGS
The seat ring is seal welded to provide a bubble tight joint. On request the seat surface can also be covered with stellite, which provides increased resistance to wear, abrasion and erosion of the sealing surface.
GRAND ARRANGEMENT
The leak through the gland is totally avoided due to metallic bellow which blocks the leak path effectively by not allowing the flow media to come in contact with stem and thus the gland. The stuffing box holds packing rings as the secondary packing
Advantages of bellow seal globe valves over regular globe valves
- One of the most a frequent and serious problem of valve is gland leakage, results in wasted and increased plant downtime.
- Apart from the high cost of energy losses, Gland leakages can also cause serious environmental and health hazards to personnel.
- Leakage of sensitive material can also constitute to a fire hazard, explosion or damage to equipment by corrosive material.
- Gland packed valves often demand continual maintenance in accessibility creating particular difficulties.
- The bellows comply with conditions at high temperatures and are capable of withstanding over 10,000 cycles without failure.
Design Features
- Long cycle life of bellow (Min. 10,000 Cycles)
- Zero Leakage through Gland & Stem
- Formed Bellow
- Bolted body-bonnet joints - for fast serviceability.
- Non-rotating stem - Prevents torsion of bellows.
- Secondary Sealing - Gland Packing
- Hardened Seat and Plug
